Karen in her garden
Specialty: Karen specializes in empowering clients and families with new choices. Together with her clients, Karen sets goals to retrieve missing skills and to expand upon those skills that are currently available. She helps people successfully address daily life dilemmas, as well as any crisis or significant, long-term change.
Karen has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over twenty years. She studied classical voice and many forms of dance and movement. Karen’s focus shifted after studying massage therapy. Her experience during massage training provided an integrated experience of muscle tension, emotional content and how they often combine in expressive patterns. Learning this information fueled her curiosity and prompted her subsequent career change into Body-Oriented Psychotherapy.
