MUTUAL CONNECTION Basic drive in life toward connection. Breaks in Mutual Connection: Can't change until you rework missing piece of MC. PSYCHOLOGIC CONTENT CONNECTED TO MUSCLE RESPONSE Hypo: early or massive trauma. Hyper: later or light trauma. Neutral (A2, B2) area of resource; B3,4 A3,4, area of unconscious material, disfunction. BODY AWARENESS AND BUILDING THE BODY EGO Body sensing, Body Experiencing, Emotional Expression, Regression. BODYKNOT: I see, hear : I sense; have a fantasy/thought: makes me feel; makes me want to. Distinguishing current body awareness from historical body awareness build observing ego. WORKING FROM RESOURCES Working from lighter to darker on map, naturally draws darker muscles toward neutral. Acknowledging character structure as resource: learning to use character or let it go. 12 categories of resource: balance, centering, grounding, boundaries, bonding, sensuality, cognition, independence, emotion, contact abilities, direction, spirituality. WORKING FROM LATER TO EARILER DEVELOPMENTALLY working with psychomotor movements at body sensing and body experiencing level without regression to build new resources. Working progressively by group to developmental steps proceeding trauma age and proceed forward: this brings resource to trauma area. DEVELOPMENTAL HOLDING AND CREATING A NEW IMPRINT Working with the break in mutual connection: Providing the missing parenting piece. Parenting transference(typically earlier str.) and "Analytic" transference (typically later str.) Staying with an issue and the specific muscles to draw out resource. Only when Muscle has new imprint is new resource innitiated. WORKING WITH PTSD Trauma vs. developmental disruption Finding a safe place/person. Activating missing protective defensive movements. Re-establishing nervous system equilibrium. Shock is a wild card in therapy. Shock interrupts development. GROUP WORK Certain issues (esp Autonomy, Solidarity/Performance) can't really be resolved until worked with in a grouo. BODYMAP INTERPRETATION RESEARCH |
