¨ Enhance the growth potential of your Yoga practice or class by learning specific techniques for connecting mind and body. Learn how to track and integrate the emotions, sensations, images, and awarenesses that arise during and after your practice.
¨ Understand and integrate your Yoga experiences into your life by learning the psychological function of the major muscles.
¨ Learn how stretching or stressing a muscle is related to its psychological content, and why a particular asana might be useful for one person, while disruptive for another.
¨ Build body resources like grounding (relates to understanding), centering (sensing yourself clearly), and boundaries (sensing when you are reacting to others). |

Through experiential work, short lectures, shared experiences, and demonstration sessions you will more fully come to recognize and utilize the psychological awareness that accompanies your Yoga practice. Yoga teachers will also gain more insight into the experiences of their students. |

Joel Isaacs, Ph.D., a body psychotherapist, has been in private practice in S.M. and West L.A for 27 years. He has led workshops at Esalen Institute, and around the USA, and abroad. He also trains professionals in the Bodynamic Somatic Psychotherapy system. Joel enjoys helping people discover and own the wonders that inhabit their body.
